ANALYSIS DEVICES

Introduction

The fifteen product types contained in this section range from accelerometers to light meters. These devices assist the user in the evaluation of job tasks. Specifically, they allow the user to quantify the physical characteristics of the work environment. Quantifying the physical characteristics of the work environment should be considered the first step in 1) establishing the need for some type of ergonomic control, and 2) defining the characteristics of the ergonomic control (i.e., What does the ergonomic control need to accomplish?).
